The book of James gives us very practical and pointed instructions about living the Christian life. Written to a people who were scattered and suffering, James encourages communities of faith to obey God and to put feet to their faith. Rather than letting us be deceived by a mere profession of faith, James tells us what authentic, saving faith should look like. If we have real faith it is demonstrated by our works. The faith James describes makes a radical difference in the needs of the world around us. Join us on Sunday mornings as we look at how our gracious God restores His wandering people.

Kenny Evans was here with us in May and will return for Revival Services, October 15-18, with a Dinner Theater October 18.
Kenny Evans is not only a gifted singer and musician but also a gifted evangelist. Kenny was ordained at First Baptist Church of Grovetown, GA and before becoming an evangelist, spent several years as a student pastor in East Tennessee and an associate pastor in South Florida. Kenny accepted the call to evangelistic ministry in the summer of 2004 and now travels the country singing and speaking in over 100 Christian events each year including revivals, conferences, church banquets, and sportsman’s events.
God has truly given Kenny Evans a huge platform at Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN where he shares his personal testimony for hundreds of thousands of people every year.
Brother Kenny will be preaching in the morning service and doing a concert in the evening service. Please invite your friends and neighbors to this exciting day. Let’s fill the pews!

So thankful for all those who worked so hard Easter morning to prepare a wonderful breakfast for all to enjoy. The fellowship was great as we anticipated the coming morning worship service. What a joy to fellowship with other believers. We thank the Lord for such a glorious Easter morning fellowship and worship service.
It is our desire to have fellowship with the ladies of our church. We meet to encourage one another and enjoy a time of working on some craft together. Be sure to come and join in at our next LIFT fellowship time.
Saturday, March 25th, we enjoyed hosting the AWANA Grand Prix and were joined by our friends from Crossroads Bible Church of Chili, and Calvary Baptist of Coshocton.
We had 70 cars in the race and four categories.
A number of our own received trophies for first, second and third place and ribbons were received by all entrants.
It was a great day and sweet to see our gymnasium full of kids and adults.
Pastor Evans shared a devotion and we all enjoyed some great fellowship – not to mention lots of hot dogs and chips being consumed.
Thanks to all who made the day such a special one and we give glory to God for His hand at work in our lives and the lives of boys and girls in our community.

What is spiritual “backsliding” and how does it occur? The challenge for Jonah was that while he knew and understood the clear direction of God for his life, his response was, “I have a better plan.” As a result, Jonah learned some hard lessons which are instructive for us today, as well. Join us on Sunday nights at 7 PM as we look at how our gracious God restores His wandering people.
